Carina brings her passion for realizing her clients’ visions to every single

event, leveraging technology to ensure smarter, cost- and time-saving approaches to all aspects of events for an elevated experience. She founded cb event design in pursuit of alleviating the stress for hosts that often leave them dwelling in the details rather than relishing in the day.

In 2020, Carina became a Pandemic Compliance Advisor and is a tremendous source of guidance on pandemic event planning protocol, assessment of risk, and COVID-19 updates for public gatherings.

When she’s not dreaming up the next big event, she enjoys the company of her husband and pets in their NE DC home. A native of Costa Rica, she also indulges in all the travel she can. And also hosting, anything, anytime!

Turning a Vision into Reality

Holli has a rich and varied background as a senior-level event management expert. She served as both the head of protocol and the senior event and ceremony executive at a major Canadian university. In these roles, she managed intimate, exclusive dinner parties, large fundraising galas, awards events for dignitaries and grand ceremonies including HRH The Prince of Wales, Reverend Desmond Tutu and His Holiness the Dalai Lama. 

 

She is a strategic planner who specializes in transforming ideas and vision into successful reality and is adept at leading and motivating a team to attain objectives under tight deadlines and budgets. A dynamic project manager, she is also experienced in organizational efficiency, fundraising, and nonprofit governance. She recently founded Silverglow Studio, a home fragrance company, is an avid nature lover and unabashed chocoholic.

A Passion For Details

Mason brings her experience as a management analyst for the federal government to the event planning world. With almost 8 years' of client-focused experience, Mason approaches each client's special event as if it were her own. Crowning herself a detail queen, she finds joy in meticulously combing through scope of works to ensure every detail is s considered when achieving each client's vision. She also enjoys negotiating the best options for our clients, while always mindful of costs.

 

When she's not ruling the event planning world, Mason enjoys scoping out new restaurants and spending time with her beloved golden retriever, Denver.
